General Summary

The IT and Distribution Systems Manager is responsible for supporting the East Coast Logistics Center operations by maximizing productivity, troubleshooting issues, and improving overall operating capabilities. The Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the supply chain and distribution systems, including Korber WMS, BI reporting tools, scanning equipment, and general network infrastructure, requiring an in-depth understanding of applicable supply chain systems and business functions. This position manages business analysis, system analysis, and personnel development, and together is responsible for delivering reliable, sustainable solutions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the support structure of NJDC Operations group for all systems located or used at the NJDC, including but are not limited to Korber Warehouse Management Solution , Labor Management System, MicroStrategy, Warehouse Control Systems, RF Device Management, Printers, PC’s, Conveyor Scanners and Scales
  • Participate in IT projects including test script writing, schedule development, data preparation, test execution and issue resolution
  • Work with Operations, IT, and Engineering on process changes and identify how the system configurations can be adjusted to accommodate changes as well as when process changes require HJ software modifications by software vendor
  • Troubleshoot network connection issues with various peripheral equipment (computers, cameras, printers, etc.), collaborating with the network and infrastructure teams when necessary
  • Ability to utilize collected data and create operational reports for productivity tracking and/or merge WMS data with labor management system collected data to create reports
  • Able to diagnose Korber system and/or software issues and relay problems to IT resources for resolution
  • Maintain log of all issues & projects on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure issues are resolved and projects are completed in a timely manner.
  • Train and manage training on software, hardware, and operational support standards to ensure the highest level of technical support.
  • Work collaboratively with site Engineer to maintain standard operation procedures for various operations in the facility identifying proper Korber interface flows and troubleshooting guidelines to be used in training and for ongoing reference.
  • Assist DC Technician Team and Operations in troubleshooting facility automation (6Rivers, WCS, Sealed Air Shrink Systems, Scanners and Scales)

 

 

  • Promote professional growth, adherence to Company policies, and routine achievement of performance standards by providing hands-on coaching and training to direct reports.
  • Document issues, incidents, or accomplishments of direct reports; providing constructive and/or positive input for performance reviews, coaching sessions, and one-on-one meetings.
  • Identify opportunities to improve or streamline existing processes, and collaborate cross-functionally on changes, improvements, and/or resolutions.
  • Conducts duties in compliance with OSHA safety standards and location specific policies, paying special attention to pedestrian/equipment traffic
  • Promotes safety at all times, and communicates and addresses problems/concerns, especially regarding safety, security, building control, or personnel, accordingly
  • Responsible for the proper handling and safe use of all Company owned property, tools, and equipment

 

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering, IT, Operations Management, Logistics or Supply Chain

  • Expert level with all Microsoft Tools (Excel, Word, Project, Access)
  • Expert level in diagnosing and identifying system/software issues
  • Expert level SQL abilities
