The District Asset Protection Manager – Northern CA assists the RLPM (s) in a high volume, high shrink metro market.  If applicable, manages all guard programs, schedules, etc.  Conducts investigations, operations assessments, reviews effective and efficient safety and shortage reduction plans.  Achieves assigned market shrink goals and objectives through the established awareness programs, in concert with store management and field managers.  Reports to Regional Loss Prevention Manager.  No direct reports.  Must possess the ability to: 

 

  • Works closely with corporate investigator to initiate and resolve issues of internal theft
  • Implements/ executes company Shrink Reduction Action plans reviewing operational deficiencies with RLPM/ DM/ Store Managers
  • Conducts assessments, LP Checklists, offering constructive feedback to store staff
  • Participants in regional, district, and store meetings, conference calls, store visits with DM’s and RLPM’s in assigned areas.
  • Conducts New Store Checklists and New Store Management LP Orientation Meetings
  • Participates in store inventory preparation visits
  • Any other essential functions that may occur from time to time as directed by supervisor
  • Coordinates, investigates, and resolves internal/ external/ Organize Retail Crime investigations utilizing:
    • Exception Reporting
    • CCTV
    • Safe2Call Hotline Tips
    • Interviewing Skills
    • Networking with other retailers

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 2-4 years District Loss Prevention Management experience
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years, multi-store, retail loss prevention experience preferable in a specialty environment
  • Must be proficient and have demonstrated results with industry accepted and accredited interrogation and interview techniques
  • Must be proficient in the use and understanding of exception based reporting; preferable Aspect
  • Must have a working knowledge of physical security systems including alarm, CCTV, and EAS systems
  • Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate at many levels including Loss Prevention, Store Regional, District, and Corporate
  • Some overnight travel is required
  • Must have adequate transportation to travel from store to store
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong Management, organizational, and communication skills, including public speaking
  • Proven ability to handle complex internal investigations and interviews using W-Z certified techniques
  • Operational knowledge of CCTV, alarm systems, and related equipment
  • High level of comprehension of retail systems as they relate to Loss Prevention and shrinkage
  • Bachelor degree in Business or Criminology or equivalent experience, preferred
