Job title: Product Services Intern

General Summary: The Product Services Intern will be responsible for curating a compelling collection of digital imagery that engages customers, achieves merchandizing and creative objectives, and elevates the brand. This is done through product photography, styling, retouching, color correction, and sizing of images to website-specific standards. This role partners with team leads to ensure product is accurately represented while adhering to established style guidelines. Responsible for site consistency, weekly site edits, and development of efficiencies. 

Reports to Supervisor, Digital Assets

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Photograph and Retouch a high volume of images with varying degrees of difficulty.
  • Preps, styles and photographs products for dsw.com in a fully digital in-house studio.
  • Maintains image quality and consistency on dsw.com.
  • Manages day-to-day workflow/objectives to ensure tight deadlines are met.
  • Retouch vendor-provided and in-house product imagery.
  • Work includes cropping, masking, color correction, removal of styling tools, shadow creation and/or clean up.
  • Flex across all product categories, as needed, while retaining quality style guide standards.
  • Adheres to proper file naming and image protocol for upload and archiving while working in the digital asset management system.
  • Meets daily production goals and set imagery standards as noted in the Style Guide.
  • Complete daily entries of performance reporting
  • Ensures tight deadlines are met by partnering with Photography and Retouching leads for daily direction.

 

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Familiarity with Canon cameras, Profoto lighting equipment, Lightroom, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficient retouching skills and knowledge of color correction in the RGB color space.
  • Proficient with Mac, Lightroom, Photoshop.
  • Ability to retouch to specific requirements while hitting daily baseline output.
  • Experience with commercial imagery.
  • Moderate proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft 365 programs.
  • Experience working with Adobe AEM (digital asset management) is a plus.
  • Experience with SharePoint functionalities a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with a process-oriented mindset.
  • Team player that is also comfortable working independently.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced and growing team environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to be on their feet 8+ hours a day if needed.
