Summer 2020 Internship Program – IT Enterprise Release Management & Operations

IT manages all of our technology, from our point of sale systems in stores to the desktop computer at home office and everything in between. They keep us connected in all areas of the business!

 

Our IT Enterprise Release Management & Operations team has an internship opportunity available for Summer 2020. The intern will rotate throughout the various functions of the IT Enterprise Release Management & Operations team, which will allow experience to be gained across the entire lifecycle - from project ideation, execution, and implementation, to operational support. At the end of the program, the interns will have a better understanding of the holistic IT function within Designer Brands.

 

  • Internships will begin Summer 2020 (Mid to late May) and last for 12 weeks.
  • All interns are full-time, paid positions
  • All interns must be able to pay for their own housing and transportation while in Columbus
  • Only the candidates who meet the internship requirements will be contacted for interviews
  • All interns will be required to complete a project at the end of the internship program
  • This opportunity is only open to Sophomore, Junior, and Senior candidates at this time, local candidates preferred
  • Relocation and housing expenses will not be covered by Designer Brands

 

Qualifications:

  • General understanding of Project Management functions
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and practical utilization
  • Broad understanding of the IT Service Management (ITSM) function and associated application within IT Operations
  • Knowledge of Retail Industry
  • Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Collaborate with team members on new projects and ideas
  • Possess ability to communicate clearly with project team
  • Report status against the project plan
  • Other duties as assigned
