General Summary: Senior Media Specialist is responsible for helping the media team drive sales and customer acquisition.  This role has a heavy focus on DSW’s paid social tactics, but this role will spend time on media content and creative planning, creating and executing testing plans, and hindsighting as well.


Essential Job Functions:


  • Collaborate with internal and agency partners to execute on strategically-aligned digital media campaigns
  • Drive day to day strategy for our paid social programs including Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.  This will include building test and learn campaigns, ongoing optimizations, requesting creative, reporting out performance to the business, and hindsighting
  • Drive creative strategy and testing for digital media campaigns including: all paid social ads, banner ads, and native ads
  • Ensure accurate execution of content strategy across all media tactics with a focus on digital and paid social campaigns
  • Partner with internal creative team to execute all media creative needs including: requesting content from our brand strategy and photo team, creative briefing, project management of all in-process creative work and creative trafficking
  • Manage and approve all third-party creative including: rich media, banner ads, and retargeting copy
  • Hindsight performance for each media message or creative unit and present data and findings clearly, concisely and accurately back to the business
  • Own strategy and execution for all brand partnership media campaigns including: partnering with the brand partnerships team to create media plans, request creative, partner with media agency to execute plans, and provide reporting and hindsighting back to our partners

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, business, advertising or quantitative field
  • 4-6 years experience in digital media including campaign management and reporting
  • Experience managing paid social campaigns
  • Retail or agency experience a plus
