General Summary:
The Sr. Financial Analyst, FP&A supports the DSW Segment (stores + eCommerce) and collaborates with partners throughout the business to enhance projections, support strategic initiatives and improve overall financial performance of the business.  This individual is responsible for the Demand sales forecast for the Digital (eCommerce) business, as well as the P&L implications and flow through of eCommerce business decisions such as (but not limited to) markdowns and margin performance, and operational spend to drive results. In addition, this role supports other responsibilities assigned as needed for DSW Segment. 

Reports to:  Sr. Manager, Segment Finance


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Digital Demand forecasting - Daily/Monthly/Seasonal projections and delayering of business based on incremental demand drivers (Marketing, Merchandising, etc.) with the goal to provide additional insights that identify risks / opportunities vs. target 
• Digital Margin and Markdown projections - Daily/Monthly/Seasonal projections based on markdown drivers (Clearance, Merchandise and Marketing) and category performance to help develop Finance POV on go forward demand margin risk or opportunity vs. the forecast 
• Drop Ship (vendor fulfilled) forecasting and insights - Help drive the Drop Ship strategy by supporting the team with insightful reporting and pushing action to drive results
• Digital Demand P&L Management - Report profitability and provide insights for the distinct revenue/expense structure of the Digital operations
• Ongoing Business Insights - Provide weekly business recap reporting to summarize and analyze business results
• Provide accurate and timely analysis and actionable insights to DSW leadership and cross functional partners
• Partnerships - Develop effective and collaborative relationships with functional business partners, identifying key opportunities, as well as communicating and influencing actionable analysis
• Ad hoc analysis

Required Skills:
• Present excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills
• Ability to interact and drive change across multiple areas, as well as, multi-task several projects and initiatives in a changing environment
• Ability to identify inefficiencies, recommend, and implement solutions to improve operations
• Strong collaboration skills to build solid, trusted relationships with analytics teams and business leadership
• Ability to work under moderate supervision to determine and develop approaches and solutions to complex problems 
• Experience in forecasting and analytics
• Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel

• 3+ years of related experience in a fast-paced environment (retail experience preferred)
• Knowledge of finance/GL packages; Lawson, Hyperion or similar is valued but not required
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools, MSI, is valued but not required 

Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA is valued but not required

• Undergraduate majors preferred: Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics
