General Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst, Supply Chain & Corp Shared Service supports the DBI Supply Chain and Corporate Shared Service departments and collaborates with partners throughout the department to improve projections, support strategic initiatives and improve overall financial oversight.

 

Reports to: Sr Manager, Supply Chain & Corp Shared Service Finance

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate and report on the Supply Chain & Shared Service financial planning process including the annual budget, targets, projection and modeling of the long-range plan.  Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • US Retail Distribution & Fulfillment Center Operating Expense and Capital Expense Projection and Budget
    • US Retail Imports & Transportation Operating Expense and Capital Expense Projection and Budget
    • Corporate Shared Services Operating Expense and Capital Expense Projection and Budget
       
  • Support Supply Chain & Corp Shared Service Business Projects through partnership with Business Leads to identify capital and expense portions of each project and incorporate into Business Cases
     
  • Develop effective and collaborative relationships with functional business partners, identifying key opportunities, as well as communicating and influencing actionable analysis

 

  • Provide standard and ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed to support executive decision making and continued profitable growth of the business

  • Understand financial drivers in order to accurately reflect and analyze resources, transportation costs and other controllable spend trends. Understand how a change in each impacts other areas of the business to accurately reflect the financial statements. Key skills to be successful are:

  • Excellent excel/financial modeling skill is required with at least a basic knowledge of PowerPoint and Word

  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Experience:

•     Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience in a fast-paced environment (retail experience preferred)

 

Education:

•     Undergraduate (B.S./B.A.) degree in Finance or Accounting is required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•     MBA is valued but not required

•     Knowledge of finance/GL packages; Lawson, Hyperion or similar is valued but not required
