Senior Application Systems Analyst, MP&A Systems

The Systems Analyst is responsible for the development and support of Merchandise Planning and Allocation suite of applications.  The analyst will deliver solutions in the Supply Chain IT area aligning to company driven initiatives.  Reports to Manager, Merchandise Planning and Allocation Systems and has no direct reports.

This position will regularly interact with IT and business resources.  It will focus on activities to support all retail channels for the Merchandise Planning and Allocation areas of the business through the use of packaged and custom solutions.



  • Performs analysis, design, development and testing for implementation of packaged and custom solutions for new and existing Merchandise Planning and Allocation systems       
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with employees, internal customers, and external partners
  • Prepare functional and detailed technical specifications
  • Ability to develop code and complete testing based on functional and technical specifications
  • Identifies system impact of changes to the company, user and operating systems
  • Assist in performing packaged software installations, upgrades and patch deployment, testing and implementation
  • Participates in design meetings with both IT and end user groups
  • Participates in testing and result evaluation, which could include end-to-end testing
  • Involved in the technical implementation
  • Application support and on-call rotation



  • Experience in retail Merchandise Planning and Allocation systems
  • Broad understanding of Merchandise Planning and Allocation technology tools and trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and work independently
  • Effective time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Be self-motivated and enjoy learning



  • Blue Yonder / JDA Enterprise Planning
  • Blue Yonder / JDA Allocation
  • Oracle Database, SQL
  • Visual Basic, Windows, batch scripting
  • MS Office 365 Suite – Teams, Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Azure DevOps and Boards
  • Front-end knowledge with Angular, Bootstrap responsive web application
  • Back-end knowledge of Node.js and Express.js server applications 
  • Automation and alerting tools – CA Workload Automation (Series)
