Regional Asset Protection Manager- Remote
General Summary: The Regional Asset Protection Manager – Must have a proven and verifiable background in retail Asset Protection with at least 5 years experience in a multi-store specialty retail environment. Will be responsible for managing and directing the Asset Protection efforts for approximately 120 DSW Shoe stores located throughout the Northeastern U.S. and be based within the Region’s geography
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieves assigned region and market shrink goals and objectives through the established awareness programs, in concert with store management and Market Leaders.
- Executes the company shrink action plan, to include high shrink location focuses, and consistently reviews and updates the compliance to the program with Regional Director / Market Leader / Store managers.
- Provides guidance and training to store and field leadership in shrink reduction strategies and operational standards.
- Coordinates, investigates and resolves internal theft issues and cases utilizing interviewing skills, CCTV, Exception Reporting and retail business systems analysis.
- Completes Loss Prevention/Safety/Operational store assessments and visits with emphasis on teaching and coaching; offering root cause solutions to issues within company guidelines.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with field leadership and business partners

- Provides risk assessment for new and existing store locations, including physical security recommendations and issues.
- Provide support for critical incidents within assigned region
- Lead physical inventory preparation and execution across assigned region.
- Must be able to travel extensively to all markets within the region as much as 75% of the time including overnight travel.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, including the use of exception based reporting systems, preferably “Agilence” and “ThinkLP”.
- Strong management, organizational, and communication skills, including public speaking. The ability to effectively influence others without direct authority over region, market, and store level associates.
- Ability to identify operational and AP related opportunities and provide leadership support to execute solutions
- Proven ability to handle complex internal investigations and interviews,
- Operational knowledge of CCTV, alarm, and EAS systems and related equipment.
- High level of comprehension and skills in the use and understanding of retail reporting systems including POS and Inventory management systems.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years proven and verifiable experience in Specialty Retail Loss Prevention.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Wicklander-Zulawski Certified
Education:
- Bachelors degree, preferred
