Job title:  Print Production Coordinator

General Summary: The Print Production Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Manager of Production by supporting them in the organization and trafficking of projects, the creation and follow-up of purchase orders, and communicating with vendors to ensure the accurate and timely execution of all projects.  Other responsibilities include the filing and archiving of completed projects and update print materials.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  Performs a variety of tasks where a degree of creativity and latitude is expected. 

Reports to: Senior Manager, Production

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uses workflow management software to input projects, manage and track job status reports, contact vendors to obtain tracking information and follow-up on delivery status as necessary
  • Be responsible for the data entry and submission of all job orders to the procurement team to be entered into the purchase order management system
  • Assist in compiling specs, communicates with project managers and vendors to confirm job and project specs
  • Run reports and research project information as requested by the senior manager of production
  • Monitors the quality of production-ready artwork
  • Oversees master copy of FedEx shipping information tracker
  • Demonstrates vision for the course and goals of the project but does not participate in the creation of the work
  • Supports creative production with the final art release of print jobs to vendors
  • Has creative problem-solving skills as well as a head for numbers and schedules to help drive the business in an agile state
  • Work with the marketing traffic team to ensure production schedules are upheld and meet business deadlines

 

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • Proficient in Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Experience with workflow management and Microsoft Office
  • Detail oriented and capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage complete priorities
  • Self-motivated and can adjust goals according to workload
  • Strong problem solver
  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Energetic, responsible and proactive with a high aptitude for creative workflow and client communication
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to identify best practices/efficiencies/automations
  • Clear understanding of printing processes and techniques
  • Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of the job

 

Qualifications

 

Experience:

  • Print Production: 2-3 years (preferred)

     

Education:

  • High School Diploma
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience preferred
