Principal Financial Systems Analyst, Oracle EPM (Remote)
DBI is looking for an experienced Oracle EPM Solutions Architect & Developer, with emphasis in Oracle EPM Planning, Consolidation, Account Reconciliation and Reporting applications and related Integrations expertise to join our growing Oracle EPM Applications Team. Key to this role is the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders. You should be a trusted partner to the business and effectively manage their expectations while effectively translating their requirements into world class Oracle Cloud EPM Solutions.
This Principal Financial Systems Analyst should be comfortable delivering timely financial information and analysis for both internal and external reporting. This person should also be able to understand and decipher financial statements (E.g., Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, etc.) as well as have a solid understanding of the overall financial process. (E.g., Financial Close, Budgeting/Projection processes, etc.)
The Principal Financial Systems Analyst will also provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects. This person must also be able to understand and solve business problems, architect, and implement system integrations, and design and develop complex features to meet clients' business needs/requirements.
DBI employees the entire Oracle Cloud EPM suite and business process and functional expertise is needed in all of the following Oracle EPM Cloud products: Enterprise Planning & Budgeting Cloud (EPBC), Financial Consolidation & Close Cloud (FCC), Enterprise Data Management (EDM), Cloud Data Management (CDM), Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS), and Narrative Reporting (NR).
Reports To: Director, Financial Systems
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver Oracle EPM Cloud functional architecture strategy with leading practices throughout all phases of an EPM Cloud Transformation.
- Hands-on formulation of business and functional requirements to set the direction for corresponding and complimentary solution delivery aligned to business goals.
- Apply business and functional knowledge and expertise, working in collaboration with the engagement teams, in the implementation of business-aligned/driven Oracle Cloud solutions.
- Serve as liaison from the business team to FP&A and perform tasks required to implement, support, configure and enhance Oracle Cloud EPM applications.
- Lead Testing and Training Programs during EPM Cloud Transformations.
- Lead by example in providing strong functional leadership directing hands on configuration, conversion, and help lead process design especially for Oracle Cloud EPM
- Translate high-level business requirements to functional specifications and manage changes to those specifications
- Test solutions and deliver end products to the business community
- Train users on business process functionality
- Analyze and understand Finance / Accounting strengths and weaknesses to identify opportunities for automating processes and functions
- Conduct business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost / benefits analyses to align information technology solutions with business initiatives
- Administration of Oracle Cloud EPM applications in support of the Finance organization
- Perform data loads/exports, including source to target data validation and consolidation of data within Oracle Cloud EPM
- Development experience including end-to-end implementation lifecycle from requirements, design, configure/build, test, train, and deploy.
- Manage user security design and provisioning of access for Oracle Cloud EPM applications.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging technology and software trends focused on driving modernization and efficiency in the finance systems area.
- Build and maintain calculation scripts, business rules, dimension builds, and data loads for Oracle Cloud EPM applications.
- This SME should have extensive experience in finance and accounting domains. We are looking for SME whose has worked on implementation projects with Finance and Accounting teams and ideally in Retail.
- Design and implement custom reports using Oracle EPM Cloud reporting tools to address company needs and improve frequency, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting.
- Required Skills:
- Business expertise in FP&A processes as well as having strong knowledge of other financial business processes. Retail experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent analysis skills and the ability to develop processes and methodologies
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills required.

Qualifications:
Experience:
- 10+ years experience of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) application experience as a developer and administrator with especial emphasis on custom Planning, Consolidation, & Reporting applications.
- 5+ years progressive experience in a consulting environment or related industry experience working directly with Oracle EPM products.
- End-to-end lifecycle development and implementation experience including requirements gathering, configuration, design, build, test, and go-live phases.
- General broad experience with the Oracle EPM suite including more specialized products such as EDM/DRM, Strategic Management, Profitability & Cost Modeling, FDM/CDM, EPM Automate, and external ETL tools including SQL.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in EPM application integrations with various Oracle and external tools to facilitate data loads, data movements, metadata management, security management, etc.
- Extensive experience in developing BSO type calculation scripts. Groovy scripting experience a plus.
- Strong understanding of underlying Essbase technologies BSO, ASO and Hybrid.
- Track record of leveraging best practices to support system and business change management.
- Track record of implementing incremental process improvements to support more efficient financial workflow.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, with a can-do, jump-right-in attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle EPM Suite Certifications in one or more EPM applications, especially Oracle Cloud EPM applications vs. on premises.
- Experience using traditional ETL & Scripting frameworks such as: SQL, Windows Batch Scripting, RESTAPI calls.
- Experience using Workiva One Cloud
- Experience & Strong knowledge of Retail business practices
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, finance, accounting, or a closely related field
