DSW is holding a HIRE EVENT ON THURSDAY AUGUST 23rd, from 9AM-1pm. We are hiring for the following positions:

 

Power Equipment Operators starting at $15.25/hour for our Saturday- Tuesday 5am-2pm shift

DC Processors starting at $13.25/an hour 2ND SHIFT 3:30pm-10:30pm

General Summary: The Processor is responsible for manually moving and handling freight/merchandise within the Distribution Center. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lift and stack cartons and/or totes onto pallets and conveyors
  • Build pallets by matching carton label IDs to pallet label/IDs       
  • Hang or make cartons to place on a box carousel
  • Scan labels on cartons, pallets and other items using a hand held scanner or utilizing a fixed scanning unit       
  • Affix labels to cartons or pallets
  • Separate freight by vendor name, purchase order, SKU or store number
  • Push or pull freight using manually operated equipment
  • Maintain clean, neat and orderly work area
  • Conduct operations in compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards
  • Promote safety at all times
  • Report safety violations to DC Area Manager
  •  Other duties as needed
  • Utilize manually operated equipment, i.e., pallet jack or hand truck to load cartons or other items                  
  • Must flex to other departments, as needed based on needs of the department, facility and company

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Push or pull pallets stacked with cartons
  • Read and recognize applicable numbers
  • Frequent bending, lifting, walking, pushing, pulling of freight, standing for long periods of time and sometimes working in extreme temperatures
  • Counts items accurately
  • Comprehends written and verbal instructions
