Marketing Traffic Senior Specialist (Open to Remote)

GENERAL SUMMARY:  The Marketing Traffic Senior Specialist is responsible for the intake process for projects that help support business objectives.  They speak in workflows, production processes, and metrics.  The Senior Specialist, with input from key stakeholders, develops and maintains marketing processes and documentation to improve efficiency and communication throughout department and with other internal partners. The role helps to gather metrics on performance and documents and communicates this performance in dashboards and reports.  The Senior Specialist knows their work is never done, as there is always a need and opportunity for process improvement.

   

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in project management and Microsoft Excel
  • Work on complex projects of all scopes and sizes while managing multiple projects at one time
  • Have demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities under aggressive deadlines.
  • Has foundational knowledge of best practices in the management and coordination of the creative process
  • Owns the campaign/project workflow through the marketing request management system, Workfront
  • Serve as the key point person to distribute project communications to all team members and stakeholders.
  • Manage campaign development and execution - define and track campaign tasks, key milestones, timelines and progress
  • Ensure that all marketing and operational tasks are complete and that projects launch on schedule
  • Identify project concerns, conflicts and delays, and proactively facilitate conversations between internal groups to discuss and resolve those concerns. Where possible, solves problems through proactive management.
  • Mitigate risk on marketing campaigns and initiatives, engage in contingency planning, recommend solutions, proactively engage in problem solving and gain alignment with stakeholders.
  • Uses negotiation and people skills to manage conflicts with clients and creatives related to scope expectations, workloads and timing/bandwidth issues.
  • Monitor design time tracking and project due dates and facilitate the information collection and sharing of department workloads via dashboard tool or formalized reports from the system
  • Works with other members of traffic to define task requirements, priorities, dependencies, timelines and resources
  • Recommends best practices based on metrics (capacity planning, trend analysis, forecasting, improvement areas)
  • Develops new insights into situations; questions conventional approaches; encourages new ideas and innovations; designs and implements new or cutting-edge programs/processes.
  • Ability to generate and/or recognize imaginative or creative solutions that produce successful outcomes
  • Evaluate and provides input on improving internal Project Management and workflow processes
  • Document existing processes and implement improvements to enhance marketing productivity.
  • Manage all aspects of the enterprise marketing calendar and seasonal marketing planning calendars – both for cross functional reference of marketing information and for planning and execution within working documents.
  • Ensure a high level of accuracy and timeliness of publication and in season management of marketing calendars
  • Strong partnership with cross-functional teams to optimize calendarization process and communication
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects

  • Must be a shoe lover!
  • Extreme attention-to-detail and ability to manage multiple projects, priorities & tasks simultaneously 
  • Data driven decision making is a must
  • Ability to cooperate in a team environment is critical including ability to lead through influence
  • Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines and stressful conditions
  • Ability to organize multiple projects and assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team of peers and comfortably manages conflicts and negotiation
  • Ability to meet established schedules and deadlines
  • Ability to lead meetings with cross-functional partners and leadership at multiple levels
  • Ability to develop strong & effective internal business relationships
  • Proactively seeks enhancements to current workflows and things strategically about the MRM tool to enhance
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfort with use of technology (Current MAC OS platform and environment, MS Office, web-based tools, etc.), Adobe programs (e.g. InDesign) for day-to-day tasks. Prior experience with Workfront project management tools a plus.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree required in related discipline
    • 3-5 years of related experience
    • Prior experience with managing projects preferred
    • Experience working with a Creative and Production team
