We are looking for a Lead eCommerce Developer (Endeca) who is passionate about user experience, continuous improvement, and incremental delivery methods. If you are a strong technical leader and looking to accelerate your career, this is the position you will want to consider! This position reports to the Senior Manager, ATG Platform and has no direct reports. 


As the Lead eCommerce Developer (Endeca), here is what you would be accomplishing in the first one year at DSW:

  • Deliver major capability improvements to DSW.COM across full site & mobile, in a technical leadership role.
  • Serve as the project lead by taking full ownership of technical deliverables for multiple projects.
  • You will understand the big picture & makes design decisions to align with it.
  • You will also own the responsibility of the overall technical deliverables in a sprint or iteration outcome.
  • You will accurately report the status with alarms, explanations and solutions. The team includes a dedicated iteration manager.
  • You will be business facing. You will be partnering with them to deliver business driven projects & successfully influence the business, IT domain teams with requirements, technology use & design decisions.
  • You will act as a communication proxy for your team and will frequently be explaining technical decisions in business terms. 
  • You will also be the Interface between development team and management in general.
  • You will raise the talent level within the team - through mentoring developers in Java, JEE & drive the team towards on target high quality deliverable
  • You will establish your credibility through the quality of your work & through strong hand on coding expertise, remove the technical impediments for the team. 
  • You will also be contributing to defining SDLC best practices in the first 6 months & drive code reviews.


Required Skills and Competencies:

  • 10+ years of Software development experience using Java/J2EE, JBOSS/Weblogic, Struts, JSP, Servlets, JNDI, JDBC and related Java technologies
  • 5+ years of extensive experience in Oracle Endeca is must - Pipeline design, Forge-less indexing, Record manipulation, CAS, CAS custom plugin-in development, Experience Manager, Workbench Rules Manager, Eneperf, Cheetah, Presentation API, Assembler REST services, Logging & reporting, SEO tuning and Search usability.
  • Experience in optimizing Endeca query performance, ability to load test Endeca Dgraphs is required.
  • Experience in Oracle ATG Commerce is preferred along with Experience in working with ATG repositories and Components
  • Should have used Oracle Database and experience in writing SQL scripts
  • Should have developed and consumed RESTful APIs with exposure to MicroServices coding and concepts
  • Experience with agile development approaches
  • Experience with Maven, Git, Eclipse/Intellij, Weblogic, JBOSS
  • Full Stack web development experience using HTML5, JavaScript ES6/ES5, AngularJS, CSS is a plus
  • Preferred experience in Retail sector
  • Designs and codes from specifications, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs, documents and implements complex software application

Experience: 10+ years of Java/J2EE experience, 5+ years of Endeca experience, 2+ years of ATG Commerce preferred
Education: Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
