The Opportunity

At Designer Brands, we believe quality isn’t just a standard—it’s a story. As a Global Sourcing Quality Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of that story, transforming data into insights that shape how we deliver excellence to our customers. This role is more than numbers and reports—it’s about connecting the dots between supplier performance, customer experience, and business strategy.

You’ll work across teams—from Sourcing and Product Development to Sales and Design—helping them make smarter, faster decisions. If you’re someone who loves digging into data, spotting trends before they become problems, and turning insights into action, this is your chance to make a real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

Turning Data into Strategy

  • Analyze supplier and customer data from multiple sources (Inspectorio, product reviews, internal metrics, and more) to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Deliver compelling, executive-ready insights through recurring and ad hoc reports, including monthly and quarterly performance reviews.

Driving Cross-Functional Impact

  • Serve as a strategic partner to teams across Sourcing, Production, Materials, Design, Product Development, and Sales.
  • Align quality performance data with broader business goals to support enterprise-wide initiatives.

Enhancing Processes & Performance

  • Conduct process reviews to ensure our standard operating procedures reflect best practices and meet both industry and customer expectations.
  • Support supplier evaluations through structured data analysis and trend monitoring.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product and supplier quality performance.

Communicating with Clarity

  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Use storytelling and visualization to influence decisions and drive alignment across teams.

What You’ll Need

Experience

  • 2+ years in market research, business analytics, consumer research, or a related field—ideally within retail, consumer goods, or e-commerce.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Skills & Strengths

  • Analytical Mindset: Skilled at interpreting data and identifying patterns that lead to smarter decisions.
  • Business Acumen: Understands how quality and performance data connect to broader business outcomes.
  • Communication: Strong storytelling and presentation skills; able to engage and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Tools & Tech: Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration platforms; experience with Inspectorio or similar tools is a plus.
  • Organization: Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment without losing sight of the details.
  • Curiosity & Initiative: Naturally inquisitive and proactive, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and stay aligned with business goals.
