The Financial Analyst, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, is primarily responsible for Inc Accountability, supporting the quarterly earnings process, financial measurement of key business projects, and the weekly DB Inc. P&L projection process.  Reports to the Sr Manager, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Reporting and Consolidation
    • Prepare, maintain, and communicate corporate level reporting to cross functional partners and senior leadership
    • Understand financial drivers in order to accurately communicate changes within the DSW Inc. Financials
  • DB Inc. Projection Process
    • Prepare and maintain detailed financial models
    • Communicate timelines as needed
    • Prepare all projection related materials and reporting, and consolidate projection-related analysis from functional partners for distribution to senior leadership
  • Prepare, maintain, and communicate the monthly Accountability Reports to senior leadership
  • Coordinate the preparation of earnings support materials on a quarterly basis for key stakeholders.
  • Provide financial support and analysis to key business leaders on an ad-hoc basis
  • Perform various administrative duties within Hyperion Planning as the backup Administrator

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Lives the DBI Values of passion, accountability, collaboration, and humility
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, store finance, public accounting, strategic planning experience is valued but not required
  • Takes initiative and is curious, driven, flexible/adaptable
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent excel/financial modeling skill is required with at least a basic knowledge of PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with Enterprise Data Warehouse; Business Objects or similar is valued but not required
  • Knowledge of finance/GL packages; Lawson, Hyperion or similar is valued but not required
  • Undergraduate (B.S./B.A.) degree in Finance or Accounting is required
  • MBA is valued but not required
