You’ll work closely with Human Resources and executive leadership to bring clarity to workforce planning, financial forecasting, and strategic decision-making. If you're looking for a role where your insights will be seen, heard, and acted on—this is it.
What You’ll Be Doing
Workforce Planning & Collaboration
- Partner with HR to forecast and budget corporate headcount, including:
- Salaries
- Bonuses
- Payroll taxes
- 401(k) contributions
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to departments on headcount and payroll-related matters.
Executive & Investor Support
- Prepare detailed financial materials for quarterly earnings, supporting:
- Executive leadership
- Investor relations teams
Forecasting & Budgeting
- Lead the weekly DBI Inc. P&L projection process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support the development and execution of:
- Annual budgets
- Weekly financial projections
Financial Modeling & Reporting
- Build and maintain complex financial models for forecasting and scenario planning.
- Prepare and distribute weekly financial reporting packages for the Executive Leadership Team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with finance teams across the organization to manage intercompany eliminations during budget and projection cycles.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for corporate home office expense accounts.
What You’ll Need
Core Skills
- Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
- Clear and confident communication—both written and verbal.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- A curious mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accountability.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1–2 years in financial planning, accounting, or a related analytical role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience in the retail industry.
- Familiarity with Hyperion Planning or similar financial planning systems.
- Understanding of the retail method of accounting.
