Director, Global Quality & Product Integrity - Footwear and Handbags
General Summary:
The Global Quality / Product Integrity Director will be responsible for supporting, managing, developing, and implementing
quality systems globally. Additionally, the role will keep abreast of best practices and promote these
changes across the organization. The Global Quality Director will be expected to lead investigations on
global products, raw materials, equipment complaints and perform root cause and corrective action
analysis on global quality issues around the world.
This role lead regions to resolve global issues, root out solutions to global problems seen at regional
levels, and aim to improve regional quality systems and organizations to develop DBI into a world-class
quality operation. The Global Quality Director will oversee & guide the global QA management teams
and suppliers to ensure that they are meeting/exceeding our needs as well as are appropriately
qualified.
Reports to: SVP, Global Sourcing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for global quality assurance. This includes prevention, investigation, CAPA's (Corrective
Action Preventive Action), root cause determination, corrective action implementation, and follow-up
to ensure successful mitigation.
• Responsible for the ongoing improvement, best practice sharing, and global quality system
implementations
• Partner with Technical Director on creation and maintenance of proper technical standers and
minimum construction reequipments
• Full technical audit approval responsibility for suppliers
• Develop, improve, ensure adherence, and continuous improvement to the company quality policies
• Aid, train, and ensure regional quality leaders are applying best practices, continually improving
quality systems, and adhering to global requirements
• Manage, engage and develop the Global Quality Team
Required Skills:
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written - Should be able to communicate with peers,
customers, and vendors
• Possess strong quality systems and business acumen and in-depth knowledge of ISO procedures and
system
• Collaborative team player - Should be able to establish solid working relationships with stakeholders
across all regions and functions within the organization
• Ability to work with regional managers and Suppliers in driving improvement projects
• Fluent in English (preferably a native speaker). Mandarin, Portuguese and Spanish are plus.
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
Qualifications
Experience:
• 10+ years of experience working within the quality management industry in a global organization
• 5+ years of experience leading and managing a team of global QA professionals
Education:
• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Engineering)
