General Summary:

This is a diverse role that demands highly developed analytical skills with a relentless drive for performance and optimization, along with full understanding of marketing strategy, execution and measurement. This person will be expected to develop and execute on digital and social media strategies that ladder up to larger marketing/business goals.  In addition, this role will be required to produce deep analysis of campaign performance/opportunities and translate findings into insights that inform strategic points of view.


This management role will be responsible for the successful partnering with broader marketing team and external partners including agencies, data and software providers and media partners to develop, execute measure and innovate programs to drive to multiple goals.


Essential Job Functions: 

  • Partner with internal teams to understand the state of the business and work with agency partners develop, execute and optimize media efforts toward business need
  • Manage and guide digital media activities in the continuous evaluation of and improvement upon media performance against states metrics and business goals
  • Evaluate quantitative and qualitative data and research (including incrementality) and translate it into larger marketing/media strategy for optimization
  • Accountable for digital media performance across channels – display, video, custom programs, mobile, paid social, paid search etc.
  • Utilize performance insights to inform and maintain daily and weekly incremental revenue and traffic projections for the business
  • Responsible for day-to-day support of media agency
  • Work with creative teams to innovate long term strategies on an ongoing basis to evolve with consumer behavior and environment
  • Identify and implement ongoing test opportunities and innovation concepts that will work to drive the business forward
  • Partner with finance to maintain media budget
  • Educate internal partners on the digital media space including campaign performance; present data and findings clearly, concisely and accurately, and be able to draw meaningful conclusions

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, business, advertising or quantitative field
  • 5-7 years of experience in digital media
  • 1-3 years of experience in the retailing sector, within a media function
  • Strong analytic skills. Ability to leverage data, channels, methods and tactics to impact short term goals.
  • Deep online marketing analytics capabilities with the ability to derive and present insights from data in a senior leadership setting
  • Experience utilizing attribution platforms/models to inform media programs
  • Ability to define A/B and multivariate test scenarios and success metrics
  • Strong familiarity with media analytics tools and processes
  • Advanced skills in Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, vlookup, etc.)
  • SEO familiarity a plus
  • Experience with Omniture a plus
