A Order Picker is responsible for the efficient transportation, delivery, and retrieval of merchandise to various locations throughout the distribution center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loads and unloads merchandise from trailers and departments insuring proper carton count.
- Shuttles, retrieves, and delivers pallets to designated areas according to pick lists.
- Transport empty pallets to designated areas.
- Scans merchandise into locations via the RF Gun.
- Insures there is no overhang of merchandise.
- Insures there are no broken and/or damaged goods.
- Occasional shrink wrap of cartons.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Communicates problems/concerns to the Lead and/or Area Manager.
- Maintains an accurate power equipment log.
- Attentiveness to pedestrian/equipment traffic.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to support workload requirements.
- Responsible for the proper handling and safe use of all Company owned property, tools, and equipment, including PPE, power equipment.
- Conducts duties in compliance with OSHA safety standards and location specific policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must move to other departments based on the needs of the department, facility, and company.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Complete up to 8 hours of training on power equipment.
- Must pass written and driving tests for power equipment certification.
- Excellent hand and eye coordination skills.
- Must be capable of operating steering, hand, and foot controls simultaneously.
- Ability to read and recognize applicable numbers and directives.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 months to 1 year of warehouse and/or forklift experience preferred.
- Lift up to 50 pounds
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
