Position Purpose:

The Marketplace Associate works with the Marketplace Team to understand the system processes: from ROP to Feed Manager to ChannelAdvisor to Marketplaces.  This role is responsible for management of assigned marketplaces, including maintenance, updates, execution of the merchandising and marketing strategies, maximizing inventory availability, and working with the marketplace representatives to identify opportunities of growth.



  • Work with Marketplace Team to manage listing and selling hundreds of thousands of inventory items across 45+ online marketplaces around the globe
  • Under supervision, plan, outline, and execute high risk projects and tasks for 45+ online marketplaces
  • Under supervision or as a team, practice decision making for high risk tasks and projects being the expert for the marketplaces to which you’re assigned or backup
  • Maintenance tasks to support marketplace functionality
  • Sales tracking and analysis
  • New marketplace setup and launch, under supervision
  • Work with marketing team to execute pricing strategy, promos, and events
  • Develop understanding of how all ShoeMetro departments (listing, QC, customer service, marketing, merchandising, etc.) contribute to the marketplaces

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years’ experience selling on online marketplaces
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Must have strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and meet deadlines with accuracy.
  • Ability to create and organize documentation such as SOPs, white papers, project timelines, etc.
  • Excellent math skills and strong attention to detail are necessary
  • Comfortable working collaboratively or individually to complete assigned tasks
  • Ability to research and resolve issues across multiple technical systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to address project needs, roadblocks, research findings, solutions, etc.
  • Experience with eBay, Amazon, or other online sales channels a plus
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript
  • Ability to work with large data sets preferred
  • Experience using ChannelAdvisor (or other third party software) to list and sell inventory across multiple marketplaces
