General Summary
|
Maintains and maximize existing relationships. The Account Executive analyzes the business through forecasts and reports and communicates customer needs to the Planning and Design teams. Responsible for sales, profit and shipping goals.
Account: Dillards
Reports to: Director, Sales
Location: This is a remote role, however the preferred candidate lives in one of the following areas: Tampa, Little Rock, Dallas, Phoenix
|
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
|
• Partner with Planner and Director to maintain account P&L’s and markdown projections in order to maximize shipping/profitability and minimize liabilities. Offer viable options to drive sales through markdown strategies and find alternative outlets for unproductive inventory.
Maintain and maximize relationships with existing customers.
|
• Partner with Director to provide forecasts and reports to communicate effectively to leaders on customer needs, strategize on business plans including sales and shipping.
|
• Assist with negotiating internally & externally to achieve sales & profit goals and manage orders (tracking & shipping of samples)
|
• Work in conjunction with Buyers and Director to assort all buys that are catered to the specific accounts needs.
|
• Establish with Director cost-effective shipping goals by partnering with customer service/Planning.
|
• Partner with Design team to communicate sales and trends.
|
• Set up Shoe shows and showrooms. Prepare for presentations to market. Understand and react to current customer needs while having a full understanding of competition.
|
• Drop Ship and online including set up of account and maintenance.
|
Required Skills:
|
• Retail math - ability to use sales metrics and industry knowledge to anticipate trends and recommend strategies to drive sales
|
• Strong customer relationships
|
• Must be a team player, exhibiting strong communication skills and flexibility
|
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills, attention to detail and accuracy
|
• Professional demeanor and customer service oriented
|
• Skilled in Powerpoint, data manipulation/pivot tables, Microsoft Office Suite, and strong Excel ability
|
Experience:
|
• 7+ years related footwear/accessory wholesale sales experience OR a combination of wholesale sales experience and buying/planning experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Dillard’s System experience preferred
Education:
|
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in footwear/accessory sales preferred
