The Sr. QA Analyst, IT Digital performs functional, system and integration level testing on newly developed and redesigned company software solutions. Works under minimal supervision to create testing strategy for moderately complex epics and projects. Creates and maintains test cases, documents, and summarizes test results and report findings. Participates in analyzing, designing, and maintaining test suites. Assists peers with test case design, application knowledge, and technical knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review requirements to define testing strategy with an agile team for digital products.
  • Help lead cross agile team test case review meetings to ensure appropriate coverage, and quickly remedies any identified gaps.
  • Provide and coach other team members on estimating during sprint planning for testing progress and proactively identify risks to roadmaps. Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.

  • Effectively communicate testing status to management and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Test effort: coordinate with business users to secure resources, outline testing plan, and manage testing effort thru signoff.
  • Work as an independent tester on an agile team responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining functional, integration, and system test cases.
  • Design and execute digital testing on cross-functional projects.
  • Establish successful working and support relationships with cross functional leaders and staff, as well as third party vendors.
  • Assist in improving the QA team by applying broad application of industry standards, principles, theories, and concepts involving quality testing.
  • Assist the QA automation team with writing automated tests that are part of the automation regression test suite.
  • Ability to handle web and mobile Apps testing.

  • Experience with retail software solutions for corporate, merchandising, planning, and warehouse systems.

  • Effective analytical skills to identify specific scenarios that need to be tested
  • Detail oriented.
  • Can express technical concepts and procedures clearly and precisely
  • Strong ability to understand the architecture and design for devising Test Strategy.

  • Efficient in the use of business software applications required to fulfill the functions of this position, with the ability to learn and then train others on new applications.
  • Experience with automated test tools; programming languages (I.e., C++, Java, VB, HTML, shell scripting); ability to develop complex SQL queries
  • Experience in working with Oracle, Teradata, and SQL databases; knowledge of integration platforms (I.E. GIS/Informatica); experience in various operating systems and platforms.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years QA experience
  • Testing customer facing applications experience
  • Testing both web and native applications experience
  • Have worked in an agile development team before

 

Education:

  • B.S. Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
