General Summary:

The Sr. Media & SEO Specialist will assist with SEO, affiliate and international digital media efforts.  They will sit within Marketing and work closely with agency partners, eCommerce, IT and Creative teams to drive, implement and measure strategic initiatives for segment traffic and revenue growth.  This role is highly analytical and detail-oriented.  This person must be comfortable leading channel strategy/execution with external marketing partners and internal stakeholders, prioritizing resources to drive the largest possible impact. 



  • Serve as the thought leader and champion of SEO across the DSW landscape
  • Work cross-functionally on all aspects of SEO, including research, strategy and implementation
    • Develop SEO best practices and strategy for and external marketing channels
    • Work with cross functional partners to implement and measure SEO strategies
    • Frequently test and monitor performance to identify site issues; Collaborate with IT partners to resolve defects
    • Ensure alignment between marketing and SEO strategies
    • Educate DSW partners on the importance of SEO, best practices and how it fits into a larger marketing and customer acquisition strategy
  • Develop and execute affiliate growth roadmap
    • Develop outreach documentation
    • Pitch DSW to existing and new partners
    • Identify key affiliate prospects to integrate into program
  • Responsible for execution and performance of international digital media campaigns including paid search, PLA, display and paid social
    • Drive day to day strategy across media programs
    • Partner with international creative teams to drive creative strategy, utilizing channel best practices and historical campaign/test learnings to inform approach
    • Ensure accurate execution of content strategy across all media tactics
    • Consistently optimize programs, reporting on results and actions taken weekly
  • Construct measurement and learning agendas across owned programs
  • Partner with agency and analytics teams to monitor, track and report on KPI’s, overall performance
  • Constantly monitor and communicate changes/POV on industry trends / competitive strategies across owned channels



  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4-6 years of experience in digital media and SEO
  • Expert in SEO best practices
  • Direct digital media experience  
  • Knowledge of eCommerce best practices
  • Understanding of Omniture or similar analytics platform
  • Retail experience a plus
  • Proven ability to interact & collaborate across multiple disciplines in order to accomplish a common goal
  • Ability to drive teams to solutions on production/project issues, including internal customers and external vendors
  • Ability to utilize metrics/analytics to identify operational opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational, project management and analytical skills
