The Sr. Manager, IT Security & Compliance leverages finely honed leadership attributes and competencies together with years of technical and functional experience in multiple IT disciplines to drive unity of effort across the entire spectrum of cybersecurity and compliance operations.

 

Reports To:  Director, IT Security & Compliance

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a deep understanding of the cyber threat landscape and regulatory requirements.
  • Manages multiple teams and fosters inter/intra-team unity-of-effort towards senior leadership’s vision for secure delivery of systems and the continuous protection of DBI information assets.
  • Leverages meaningful team & program metrics to ensure stable and continuous maturation of critical capabilities.
  • Develops and implements plans to improve procedures, close gaps, and ensure even implementation of security and risk frameworks.
  • Manages numerous complex projects with various priorities and stakeholders.
  • Creates thorough and accurate reports, provides status updates on projects, and presents findings to leadership on a routine basis
  • Curates runbooks and standard operating procedures in support of the Information Security Policy, Incident Response Plan, Business Continuity Plan, and Disaster Recovery Plan.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills:

  • Ability to identify and prioritize security events, alerts and incidents for the organization and manage associated incident classification, severity, and priority.  Briefs leadership during incident response activities and understands the balancing act between business goals, evidence preservation, and tactical IR work.
  • A deep understanding of the Lockheed Martin Cyber Killchain and NIST Incident Response Lifecycle
  • A deep understanding of SOX, PCI-DSS, & privacy law compliance initiatives.
  • A deep understanding of Information Technology’s impact on enterprise risk management.
  • Ability to leverage the combined outputs of security, risk, and compliance programs for the betterment of each.
  • Demonstrated comprehension of advanced security architecture and engineering considerations
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills and high “emotional intelligence”.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology; minimum 6 years of IT security experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One or more of the following industry certifications or equivalent {CISSP, CISM, GSLC, GSTRT, CASP+}.

Education:

  • Relevant college degree or military service as an Officer or Warrant Officer is preferred but not required.
