General Summary: The Sr. Manager, Customer loyalty initiatives is accountable for bringing loyalty vision to life and driving strategy to execution across all customer touch points and experiences. Responsible for leading end-to-end digitization of marketing across DSW specific to loyalty.  This person makes complex strategic decisions and works collaboratively across the organization. This position requires a blend of strategic road mapping skills inclusive of execution of set plans.


Reports to: Director, CRM & Loyalty


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading complex cross-functional development and implementation of new loyalty initiatives for the organization

• Develop and manage strategies that evaluate the effectiveness of current internal marketing processes, benchmark other retailers and new industry standards to implement new and innovative business solutions

• Drive results on existing loyalty initiatives, campaigns and promotions, including building/overseeing seasonal test and learn agendas

• Partner with additional marketing partners to ensure synergies between loyalty and overall campaign marketing

• Researches and recommends industry trends for updates and Loyalty relaunches with featured benefits

• Drive portfolio success through:

  • Definition of scope and business requirements
  • Project-level leadership
  • Measurement planning and post-audit process
    • Establish and identify ways to measure KPIs that drive efficiencies through end-to-end business processes
    • Develop measures to track adoption of the transformation
  • Identification of appropriate solution owner at project completion, ensure smooth hand-off, and partner with owner on measurement and on-going communications/updates
  • Executing hindsight process and application of key learnings

• Leads decision-making process and is accountable for all project business decisions in partnership with IT




Required Skills: 

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Skilled in multi-tasking and supporting several projects simultaneously

• Ability to drive diverse teams (internal and external) to solutions on complex issues

• Business process re-engineering

• Proven ability to interact & collaborate across multiple disciplines in order to accomplish common goal

• Ability to utilize metrics/analytics to identify opportunities and measure results

• Strong organizational, project management and analytical skills

• Strong self-starter

• Strong problem solving skills

• Ability to work in ambiguous, fast paced environment


• 8+ years of experience in Retail (technology or business roles)


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading others to think outside of the box using a design thinking methodology



• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business, Marketing or Customer Insights
