The Senior Online Risk Analyst is responsible for optimizing digital risk automation and analytics. Develop machine learning and behavior analytics capabilities. Anticipate, respond to, and prevent chargebacks. Responsibilities include expertise in a variety of moderately complex systems. Lead chargeback-re-presentment and analytics team. Produce timely reports. Update risk engine, recognize fraud/chargeback trends, recommend & update digital algorithms to mitigate payment risk.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive risk mitigation strategy, using precision data analytics and advanced machine leaning.
  • Identify and mitigate against trends and patterns that increase chargeback
  • Leverage AI based risk engine - to develop, update, train, model and maintain machine learning capabilities. Limit exposure while ensuring scalability.
  • Manage chargeback representment and analytics. Lead Chargeback Specialist and Automation Specialist
  • Produce actionable, timely and accurate reporting. Automate reporting whenever possible  
  • Interface with finance to produce department scorecard
  • End-to-end automation and tuning of the risk prevention process 
  • Recruit, lead, retain and motivate automation/analytics talent
  • Stay at the forefront of the CNP space
  • Forecast and project chargeback budget in concert with Sales Audit.
  • Advise relevant internal & external stakeholders on all aspect of the CNP space
  • Revise and implement procedures and training materials to maximize efficiency and customer service and to assure compliance with governmental regulations
  • Manage third party risk mitigation solution providers
  • 30% - Processing and analyzing chargeback inquires
  • 30% - Proactive and reactive analysis of chargeback and fraud trends
  • 20% - Strategy and digital project support, as needed
  • 20% - “Auto-release” and reporting

 

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • 5+ years of data analytics
  • 5+ years of digital commerce experience
  • Data mining and modeling experience
  • In-depth understanding of AI (Artificial Intelligence)
  • Proficient in Tableau
  • Proficient in Database tech such as SQL, NoSQL
  • Strong knowledge of business intelligence applications
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Superior inter-personal and communication skills

     

Qualifications

Experience: 5+ year of analytics, CNP risk and e-commerce experience.

 

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Analytics, or equivalent experience, preferably in a retail or financial environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Previous machine learning experience.
