Job title:  Manager, Merchandise Operations

General Summary:  The Manager, Merchandise Operations will lead and develop a team of 5-6 direct reports, overseeing activities related to pricing, marketing, consignment, vendor compliance & analytics, as well as general operational support for the Merchandising and MP&A functions. 

Reports to: Sr Manager, Merchandise Operations

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train and develop Analysts and Associate Analysts within Merchandise Operations
  • Support DSW talent initiatives through coaching, feedback, and mentoring associates
  • Proactively identify obstacles within business operations, offer solution and implement new process 
  • Collaborate cross functionally to drive business results
  • Establish & enforce internal and external compliance measures regarding purchase order and vendor set up
  • Direct price change execution and reporting related to pricing
  • Management consignment business operations and analysis
  • Act as a liaison with marketing and facilitate cross functional event execution

Experience:

  • 7+ years in retail or related field, prior leadership experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
