General Summary:

Leads a team of ecommerce coordinators who produce and drive all web product content / collections, navigation, onsite search, site operations, promotions, and projects related to these activities. Ensures that site is optimized for customer shopping and experience. Works closely with developers to address any technical challenges and opportunities.

 

Regularly reviews and evaluates performance including customer demand, sales trends, and site behavior to determine how to optimally drive product, collection, and onsite search performance. Recommends product, collection, price/promotion, and search enhancements with clear analytical support. Ensures rigorous test and learn approach, including regularly patterning competition to find trends to explore on our sites. Works closely with cross-functional partners to drive strategy and tactics and maximize impacts.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team of Digital Coordinators to maximize site “shopability”, driving Sales through conversion and average order value.
  • Ensure the proper creation of product descriptions on website using samples, vendor resources, key word content analysis, and external website collateral – focus on providing the customer with all information necessary to make an informed purchase decision.
  • Ensures that team translates strategy to online products and categories through sequencing, navigation, and product page execution
  • Coordinates & manages the workflow of their team to ensure the sequencing of site collections to appropriately reflect marketing and merchandising strategies.
  • Measures the performance of pages, categories, and collections and provides team with feedback to drive improvements.
  • Ensure timely site maintenance including reacting to weekly selling and web analytics - including sequencing, product display changes, and pricing/promotion
  • Point of contact with the Merchant/Buying team to ensure assortment objectives are ingrained in site execution.
  • Utilize deep site analytics to analyze and optimize search performance across brands, categories, products and key terms in order to improve search relevancy and onsite search session conversion.
  • Ensures the team utilizes Analytics and Keyword research tools to research key terms and incorporate in product descriptions, updating terms and usage regularly based on trends.
  • Ensure the proper creation of product descriptions on website using samples, vendor resources, key word content analysis, and external website collateral – focus on providing the customer with all information necessary to make an informed purchase decision.
  • Audits work of team to ensure accuracy and SEO standards are met.
  • Manages site execution of merchandise markdown and exit strategies.
  • Coordinates team to identify price and promotion opportunities and implementation of price/promo changes.
  • Recommend items for web marketing and promotions.
  • Point of contact with the Information Technology operations team to maintain data integrity for items on the site and trouble shoot backend issues
  • Work closely with customer service input, Bazaar Voice, social media, store partners, and merchants on product page issues and trouble shoot as needed
  • Manages site product/navigation/collection execution of Marketing launch and direct-to-customer marketing
  • Attends merchandising and marketing meetings to understand strategy in stores and online
  • Serves as a point person for key projects for Site Management and communicates progress in relation to key initiatives to the broader team
  • Conducts regular assessments of our competition and their site execution of product, collections and search. Recommends ideas to test to drive improved performance
  • Leads team to drive capability development, strong performance, and effective collaboration
  • Works across multiple sites and platforms to maximize business across customer touchpoints
  • Drives brand-right approach for each site to ensure fit with Brand essence and customer profiles while maximizing business

 

Required Skills

  •   Demonstrated Leadership skills and experience leading the short-term strategy and daily      execution of a digital site team
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and influence
  •   Analytically proficient
  • Results Driven
  • Proven Content Management System proficiency ATG BCC, Joomla, Wordpress, or like CMS
  • Proficiency in the utilization of site behavior analysis tools such Omniture Site Catalyst or Google Analytics.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and expert Excel skills
  • Strong organization
  • Skilled at problem solving
  • Web content management experience especially with workflow and content authoring
  • Technical aptitude
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral skills. Able to translate complex data to a broad audience.
  • SEO optimization experience preferred

 

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • 1 – 3 years of experience managing others in a Supervisory capacity

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with leading large-scale system conversions and projects

 

Education:

• Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field.
