The Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer is responsible for process and tool changes as it relates to IAM and Privileged Access Management (PAM). Candidate owns and administers inventory of policies and tools necessary for user provisioning, authentication, monitoring and reporting. Provides IAM support for any audit activities and project facilitation as requested. This role supports the direction of DSW information security and risk management governance strategies. This position reports to the Manager, Identity & Access Management (IAM) and has no direct reports.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with build, configure and deployment of Cloud, IAM, PAM and SSO solutions such as: MS Active Directory (AD), MS Azure/Azure AD/Azure AD Connect, Amazon Web Services, Google, Directory Services Administration Tools and Service Interfaces, Okta, Ping Federate/Ping ID/Ping SSO Sail point, NetIQ, CyberArk, Etc. Lead the administration, governance, compliance and maintenance of IAM systems and processes
  • Monitors the building, configuring and deployment of Cloud, IAM, PAM and SSO toolsets according to design and business requirements.
  • Preparing and maintaining relevant process and procedural documentation for IAM controls.
  • Design and coordinate monitoring and alerting process for key access and authentication controls
  • Broad ownership or administration of automated provisioning tools and processes
  • Support incident response process on an as needed basis
  • Responds to and provides support for tickets/incidents escalated
  • On-going operational tasks and reporting requirements
  • Creation of detailed process documentation

 

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong technical skills related to some or all the technologies listed in the above section.
  • Strong experience in Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Strong understanding of Privileged Access Management controls and tools
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge and skills related to Cloud, IAM and privileged access management
  • Ability to work with Active Directory, LDAP, and other Enterprise Directories
  • Knowledge of networking concepts such as firewalls, network traffic redirectors, routers, network segmentation, well-known ports for Internet protocols, IP addresses, NAT, traceroute and packet captures, and DNS.
  • Refined communication skills:  verbal and written
  • Time management and task prioritization
  • Ability to work independently and comfortable sharing roles on a team
  • Moderate understanding of primary security control frameworks. (i.e. SANS, NIST, etc.)

 

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

  • Required:  5-7 years related experience regarding the implementation and support of IAM and privileged management tools.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security certifications strongly preferred such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or relevant SANS certification

 

Education:

  • Required:  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university with an emphasis in computer science
