Human Resources Coordinator

The HR Coordinator supports key processes within the talent lifecycle including administrative duties, talent acquisition, new hire onboarding, and culture and engagement. 

 

Reports To: Supervisor,  Corporate Talent Acquisition

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administers key processes within the talent lifecycle, including coordination and recruitment, new hire set-up and ATS administration, “Welcome to Designer Brands” onboarding, weekly/monthly reporting/analytics, and associate recognition and engagement practices. 
  • Provides a best-in-class candidate experience and the highest level of administrative support and service throughout the talent lifecycle.  Job duties may include:
    • social media and corporate communications support
    • unemployment claims and partner referral inbox monitoring
    • compliance poster and P&P maintenance
    • completion of compensation worksheets, candidate data tracking, ATS management, and new hire reporting
    • interview scheduling and candidate follow-up
  • Owns all aspects of the full lifecycle recruitment process for a determined number/category of corporate roles, connecting the organization with top talent.
  • Manages the associate file library (creation, filing, upkeep, and retention). 
  • Supports the execution and management of the Designer Brands onboarding program which has significant business impact that spans across the total enterprise. 
  • Provides workforce management system support as needed (timesheet corrections, missed time punches, PTO edits, etc.).
  • Performs basic to complex analysis of associate data and human resources programs.  Prepares and presents formal analysis and reports to leaders in human resources. 
  • Supports identifying and implementing process improvements for talent related activities that can be leveraged across the enterprise.
  • Responsible for completing Associate Status Forms related to leaves of absence, job changes, and pay changes. 
  • Manages Associate Referral Bonus and Cash Sign-On Bonus payments; submits bonuses for payout per policy for exempt and non-exempt hires.

 

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Ensures talent processes are completed effectively and consistently across the Designer Brands corporate enterprise.
  • Must maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability. 
  • The individual must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be extremely detail oriented, and possess strong Microsoft Office software skills. 
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task and quickly assess priorities and make adjustments as needed. 
  • Desire to provide best-in-class experience for internal and external business partners. 
  • Willingness to be a positive and proactive team member, ensuring a team-oriented approach to success. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as with other team members. 
  • Evidence of building solid relationships with associates and leaders at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years prior Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or related experience. 
  • A strong aptitude in technology (ability to navigate multiple applications and learn company specific software) and workflow processes preferred. 
  • Two years’ experience working within an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) required.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business or equivalent experience preferred.
