General Summary:

The Sr. Digital Optimization Analyst will provide both proactive and reactive analysis which will help to drive enhancements to the customer experience, including testing and personalization strategies at DSW, across desktop and mobile assets. The analyst will utilize quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities across the site, reduce friction points, as well as to identifying areas to enhance the shopping journey.

They possess a combination of business and technical skills that will be utilized to analyze optimization efforts across the eCommerce business on dsw.com. They must be extremely detail-oriented and able to adapt to the dynamic changes in digital.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in A/B, multivariate, and personalization testing. Experience with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target are a plus, with experience on comparable tools or technologies just as relevant.

 

Reports to: Digital Optimization Lead

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Support Opimization team with project analysis, including but not limited to: providing and contextualizing baseline calculations, pre-post analysis, evaluating risks as well as impact of changes, etc.
  • Analyze the DSW customer’s shopping journey across all channels (desktop, mobile, app, stores, etc.), utilizing all available data sources
  • Ensure that optimization, testing and personalization initiatives are set up properly from a data capture and data integrity perspective, as efforts will need to be controlled and reported on accurately and appropriately
  • Build, launch, and report on metrics within A/B, MVT, and personalization campaigns in tools like Adobe Target, etc with the help of front end developers and designers
  • Analyze results and help provide recommendations and next steps
  • Deliver final analysis and executive summaries to business stakeholders to convey impact when necessary
  • Comb through secondary metrics and data segments to discover other patterns and recommendations for targeting and/or future initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, and champions effort for improvement where needed
  • Responsible for monitoring live initiatives and maintaining behaviors within an expected and tolerable range
  • In-depth knowledge of eCommerce KPIs throughout the customer journey and across all channels
  • Perform statistical significance testing, and understand test duration needed in order to communicate lift and confidence intervals for the Primary success metric

  • Extreme attention-to-detail and ability to manage multiple projects & tasks simultaneously
  • Energetic and customer-centric; Ability to prioritize and focus while effectively managing multiple and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and positive attitude; proven experience partnering with technical and design teams, clearly articulating business priorities and managing through conflict
  • Perform work with moderate supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be the voice of the customer

 

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in an eCommerce, Product Management, or analytics role
  • 1-3+ years of experience in Digital Optimization preferred

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Omniture
  • Experience with Adobe Target, or similar testing platform vendors (Optimizely, etc.)
  • Experience with ATG or comparable web platform
  • Experience working within Agile Methodology

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
