The Associate Applications Systems Analyst, IT Supply Chain designs, codes, tests and debugs programs based on technical specifications and document results within the Supply Chain Systems Department. Competently works at a moderate to high technical level in several phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. Occasionally provides guidance and training to less experienced IT staff and key users. This position reports to the Manager, Distribution Systems and has no direct reports.


Must possess ability to:

  • Develops or modifies SQL procedures to solve complex problems.
  • Designs and codes screen layouts, printed outputs and interfaces with other systems
  • Converts designs and specifications into computer code
  • Creates test scenarios and runs tests to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.
  • Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs
  • Consults with senior members of the team, Project Manager, Business Analyst and/or key users to identify system solutions to solve business issues.
  • Delivers assigned tasks on time
  • Monitors performance of programs after implementation
  • Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems or questions about programs
  • Provides production support as required
  • Supports production systems, on a rotation basis, for a week at a time
  • Researches and resolves help desk tickets for development support



  • Develops/designs solutions based on established technical design with little guidance from others
  • Provides support and maintenance for complicated/integrated incidents
  • Troubleshoots moderately complex problems and recommends appropriate action
  • Evaluates risk potential and recommends solutions
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
    • Oracle PL/SQL Development
    • Customer Order routing logic / systems
    • Full-stack development
  • Knowledge of Supply chain applications specific to Distribution Systems
  • Front-end knowledge with Modern Angular, Bootstrap responsive web application a plus
  • Back-end knowledge of Node.js and Express.js server applications a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
  • Collaborate with team members on new projects and ideas
  • Possess ability to communicate clearly with project team
  • B.S. Computer Information Systems or related discipline preferred
