The Associate Application Systems Analyst is responsible for the development and support of Merchandise Planning Systems. The analyst will deliver solutions in the Merchandise Planning Systems area aligning to company driven initiatives. Reports to Sr. Manager, Merchandise Planning Systems and has no direct reports.  This position will regularly interact with IT and business resources. It will focus on activities to support all supply chain retail channels of the business through the use of packaged and custom solutions. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues on the Supply Chain IT team, other IT partners, and business partners.

Preparation of functional and technical specifications and support documentation.

Ability to develop code and complete testing based on functional and technical specifications.

Creates test scenarios and runs tests to find errors and confirm development meets specifications.

Participates in design meetings with both IT and Business groups.

Participates in testing and result evaluation, which could include end-to-end testing

Involved in the technical implementation

Analyzes, researches and resolves help desk development support tickets

Provides support for production systems to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner; this will occur in an "on call" fashion within/outside normal business hours.

Understanding of retail planning and allocation processes and systems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to pay attention to detail and work independently

Effective time management skills to meet deadlines

TECHNOLOGIES

Front-end knowledge with Angular, Bootstrap responsive web application

Back-end knowledge of Node.js and Express.js server applications

Automation tools D-Series and alerting tools

Oracle Database, MySQL, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL, UNIX, UNIX shell scripting

Visual Basic, Windows, batch scripting

Experience with Jira Cloud & Confluence, MS Project Online, MS DevOps

MS Office 365 Suite – Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
