General Summary:

The incumbent will manage inventory data feed, accuracy, and population across all company sales channels to ensure products are represented the best possible way for customer satisfaction and maximizing channel ratings.  The Marketplace Manager will drive the Marketplace department to ensure the team is properly trained and working efficiently, productively, and keeping vendors in compliance. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and evaluate performance of daily sales on third party marketplaces
  • Oversee maintenance of listing schedules for marketplace ads
  • Manage daily uploads of inventory data feed into Channel-Advisor and Order Management Software
  • Ensure that company is abiding by all marketplace policies and guidelines
  • Setup of new Marketplaces to sell on, e.g. Newegg, Amazon UK, Overstock
  • Maximize inventory available on all sales channels by proactively correcting inconsistent data
  • Format data into the feed that the marketplaces require
  • Responsible for EDI Development, Mapping, Communication Protocols, & Training
  • Produce key reports for management
  • Troubleshoot and correct errors to data/images, preventing future similar errors
  • Train, hire, promote, and disciplines within department


Required Skills and Competencies:


Minimum Qualifications

  • Project management skills and certification a plus
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Internet browsers
  • Exceptional troubleshooting problem solving skills Ability to work in a professional manner, be flexible, and handle interactions with all levels of the organization and with external clients
  • Ability to communicate well with other members of the team and with non-technical end users



  • 2+ years prior supervisory or management experience
  • 2+ years of using MS Access or SQL databases
  • 2 +years ERP interface experience a plus
  • Applied ecommerce knowledge of eBay, Amazon, and other online sales channels
  • Experience in technical programming and development for EDI related systems


Preferred Qualifications

  •  Working knowledge of Channel Advisor
  • Familiarity with selling through online third party marketplaces (Amazon, Ebay, Rakuten, Overstock)



  • B.S. in IT, MIS, or related field from a four-year college or university preferred
