General Summary:  The incumbent will lead and manage the programming and marketplace teams.  This position will plan, architect and coordinate the implementation of technology solutions to distribute the electronic multi-lingual catalog and receive orders from marketplaces, 3rd party eCommerce sites and flash sale sites.  This person will partner with internal teams to define requirements and implement tools to increase operational efficiency and deliver reporting to increase business intelligence. The incumbent will be responsible for maximizing inventory availability, data accuracy and the presentation of our products on all sales channels.  This person must have experience architecting solutions to meet high performance, apply in-house standards, and security requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions
  • Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions
  • Direct operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations
  • Produce detailed time line for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status
  • Direct and prioritize the work load of direct reports
  • Reviews all designs, code and unit test plans where applicable
  • Approve all business requirements prior to the technical solution
  • Represent the IT function at customer review meeting when appropriate
  • Perform liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting
  • Monitor work from the engineers regularly and ensure that quality and scheduling goals are met
  • Coordinate resources and organize activities necessary to complete business application projects
  • Hands on development and ad-hoc report generation at an expert level
  • Maintain relationships and manage work flow with third party software vendors


Required Skills and Competencies:


  • Previous experience as a Manager or Director
  • 5+ years engineering / programming experience in PHP data driven environments with MySQL or SQL Server
  • Experience with AWS (Linux)
  • 2+ years experience in eCommerce programming/application development-B2C ideal


Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong understanding of business processes related to one or more of the following areas is a must; eCommerce, Retail, Operations, Customer Service, Planning or Distribution
  • Experience with User Interface Design
  • Familiarity with selling on marketplaces (e.g. eBay, Amazon,
  • Working knowledge of ChannelAdvisor



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or similar discipline or relevant work experience


Physical Demands:

  • This job is primarily sedentary work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 90% of the time
  • Occasionally move about the office
  • Manual dexterity to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment

  • Constant communication to exchange accurate information
